J Rock

From the Westgrove newsletter

Last night the J rock team performed their “Freaky

Flora” as part of the Victorian Junior Rock Eisteddfod

Challenge at Hisense Arena. We were all extremely

proud of the wonderful performance. The student’s

team work was exemplary. They have been well trained

and supported by Mrs Dixon and a team of teachers

over the past three months. Mrs Dixon not only put a

tremendous amount of work into the choreography but

also made and sourced many of the costumes.

Yesterday was a very long day for the 90 students, staff

and parents who were at Hisence Arena from 9.15am.

We wish to especially thank Mrs Jaana Puronpaa and

Mrs Michelle Roper who assisted the staff in

supervising and preparing the team for their

performance. Thanks also to the staff: Ms Ryan, Ms

Morton, Mr West, Mr Smith, Ms Ferlazzo and Mrs

Stewart for their support throughout the day. Many

thanks to Kylie Ostler for her great assistance with the

costumes and to Leanne Wilson for constructing and

painting the sensational backdrops. Finally, we wish to

thank all families and staff who came along on the

night to support the students.

Congratulations again to the entire J-Rock team-

You Rock!
